My New Web Site is LIVE!!!

What does 2 months of a lot of photo editing, some very late nights and a lot of tweaking get you? I'm proud to announce that my new portfolio web site (briankellyphoto.net) is now live!

This new site is certainly media rich...with large photos (try the site on Fullscreen!)...and a large integrated video player. This is a huge change from my old Flash based site.

The iPad, Kindle and other portable media devices are rapidly changing how we view newspapers, magazines and television shows...this revolution is just starting...and it's a content rich world.

I believe photography and visual storytelling (short films, photo essays, videos, etc.) are going to more important than ever in a high bandwidth, multi-media world...it's a VERY exciting time to be both a photographer and videographer!

I welcome your feedback on the new portfolio. Oh, you can also view a nice mobile version of my site on your iPhone or other SmartPhone device!

moving soon...

It's been a bit quiet here lately, but for good reason.

In the next week or so, I'll be launching an entirely new www.briankellyphoto.net portfolio site as well as moving this blog over to a new blogging platform supported by the new web site.

I can't wait to share it with you...one of my big goals for early 2010 was to totally rethink how I show my photography and film work online. I'm very happy so far and will roll it out soon!

additions to portfolio

I've been slowly adding some new photos to my portfolio web site to the point that it's worth mentioning it's been freshened up. So if you haven't been to my site in a while drop by and take a peak.

In the next month or so I'll be adding some work that's been under wraps for a while.

This has been an incredible year. I've had the opportunity to shoot a TON of awesome projects for a very diverse client base. Today I put a lot of new photos up on my portfolio web site:

Feel free to snoop around and see what's new!

web site update

If you haven't checked out my web site in a while it's probably worth a visit again.  I've added a brand new "Events" section with all new photos as well as sprinkled the other categories with images here and there.

...but if you've never visited before it will all seem incredibly fresh and new!

new MySpace page - The Photography Room

To help the gallery book additional concerts as well as private parties, I've created a new MySpace page for The Photography Room. So if you are a MySpace member, please add us as a friend and feel free to leave a comment.

If you're not a MySpace member you can still check out the page and add it to your favorites. I hope the new page will keep people updated as to what shows we're booking there as well as posting photos and videos of performers in the space. Here's the link:

I turned to my good friends at Plenty Creative to come up with a new site design that highlights my commercial photography. I couldn't be more pleased with the results...check it out!

Caution - New Blogger onboard!

Whoa...hello...new blogger here! I'll try to not to step on any one's line (golfing term) while I get the feel for this. The catalyst for this giant leap into the matrix is that within the next couple of weeks I'll have an entirely overhauled photography web site (http://www.briankellyphoto.net/)

Thanks to my good friends at http://www.plentycreative.com/, it's going to be a fantastic looking site...no pressure PC!!

Part of the new web site enables me to link to my new blog. I'll be sharing photo highlights from recent shoots. It's also likely that I won't resist spilling some of my opinions about my home city of Grand Rapids, MI.

G-Rap is jammin'...and I'm lucky to have a front row seat with my camera in hand. Check back often...
