I may be a photographer...but my real passion is ice cream. Custard is a rare treat since it's hard to find.
As far as I know, there aren't any true custard joints left around Grand Rapids. If there is one PLEASE let me know (sorry but don't say "Culver's"...it might as well be a Pizza Hut in my book).
The "Custard Cup" in Danville, Illinois is iconic...pure americana...and worth the trip all by itself.

Have you been to Custard by the Dam in Rockford? They have ice cream as well, but the custard is good.
and here I thought they just used the word "custard" and only served ice cream. I'll be dropping by there to give it a try soon...thanks!!!
